Common Questions

Will one of these sets work for all three engines (V2203, V1702, V1902)?

Yes — the main and rod bearing journal dimensions across these three Kubota engines are common enough that this single STD bearing set covers all three. The crankshaft bushing is also included. Verify your journal sizes with a micrometer before ordering to make sure STD is correct for your specific crankshaft.

My Bobcat 753 just had a bearing knock — is replacing the bearings enough, or do I need to do more?

Bearing failure rarely happens in isolation. Before you reassemble with new bearings, inspect the crankshaft journals carefully for scoring, taper, or out-of-round. If any journal is damaged, the crank needs to be reground oversize and you'll need oversize bearings to match instead of STD. Also flush the oil galleries and replace the oil pump pickup screen — debris from the failed bearings will be everywhere.

Are rod bolts included?

No — rod bolts are not included in this set. Always use new rod bolts when reassembling rod bearings. Kubota torque-to-yield rod bolts stretch on installation and cannot be reused safely. Order new rod bolts separately for your specific engine.
