Is the head gasket included in this set?

Yes. This is a full gasket set — the head gasket is included along with the complete upper gasket set (valve cover, intake, exhaust manifold) and lower gasket set (oil pan, front cover, rear main seal), plus all O-rings and seals. Nothing else needs to be purchased separately for a full engine reseal.

Does this gasket set fit the Kubota BX series as well as the G-series mowers?

Yes. The Kubota D722 engine is used across multiple product lines — BX1800D, BX1850D, and BX1860D compact tractors, G1900 and GF1800 front mowers, K008 mini excavator, TG1860 zero-turn mowers, and the ZD18. This gasket set fits the D722 engine in all of those machines.

My BX1860D is overheating but I don't see any external coolant leak — could it be the head gasket?

Yes. A head gasket that has failed internally can cause overheating without an obvious external leak — coolant passes into the combustion chamber, gets burned off as white steam, and the coolant level slowly drops. Check the oil for a milky appearance (coolant mixing), look for white smoke at startup, and test compression across all three cylinders. If you find two cylinders with low, even compression and the oil looks contaminated, the head gasket is almost certainly the cause.
