How is this different from SKU 1270 (also a Kubota D1105 fuel shut-off solenoid)?

Both fit the same engine family (D905, D1005, D1105, V1205, V1305, V1505), but they use different OEM part numbers. SKU 1270 ($28.99) replaces the 17208-60010/15/16/17 family. This SKU 1293 ($19.99) replaces the 17454-60010 / 16616-60010 / Yanmar SA-4569-T family. They are NOT interchangeable — check the part number on your old solenoid before ordering.

Will this work on my engine if it has electronic / ECU-controlled injection?

No. This solenoid is for mechanical fuel injection pumps only. If your Kubota has an ECU and electronic injection (common on newer Tier 4 engines), this isn't compatible
