Easy bench test: pull the solenoid off the pump, connect 12V across the pull-in terminal and ground. You should hear a sharp click and feel the plunger snap inward. Then connect 12V to the hold terminal — plunger should stay in. If you get no click on pull-in, the solenoid is dead. If it pulls in but won't hold, the hold coil is bad. Either way, you need this part.

On Kubota 12V pull-type solenoids: the heavy wire is the pull-in coil (high current, brief pulse to pull the plunger in), the smaller wire is the hold coil (lower current, keeps plunger held while running), and the third wire is ground (or sometimes a feedback signal depending on the model). Wiring matters — match the colors / positions to your old solenoid before installing.

Yes — same family. The solenoid is supposed to spring back out (cutting fuel) when power is removed. If yours doesn't spring back and the engine keeps running, the solenoid is stuck mechanically or the return spring is broken. This is a common failure mode and one of the main reasons people replace these. Order this part, and while you're in there inspect the linkage between the solenoid and the injection pump fuel rack for binding.
