Common Questions

How do I know if I need STD or 0.50 oversize rings?

Measure the cylinder bore with a bore gauge. If the bore is at or near 78.00mm (STD), order STD rings (SKU 2431-2427). If the bore is at 78.50mm (0.50 oversize), order these. Or check the stamping on your existing piston — Kubota stamps the size on the piston crown.

How many sets do I need?

Depends on the engine. The D1105 and D1305 are 3-cylinder engines — order 3 sets. The V1505 is a 4-cylinder — order 4 sets. All cylinders should be the same size — don't mix oversize and STD across cylinders.

Are the pistons themselves included?

No — this is rings only. If your existing oversize pistons are still in good shape (no scoring, cracking, melting), you can re-ring with this set without buying new pistons. If pistons are damaged, you'll need new oversize pistons too. For a complete piston + ring kit at 0.50 oversize for D1105, see SKU 2452-2453 (if available).
