How is this different from SKU 1293 (also Kubota D1105 fuel shut off solenoid)?

Both fit Kubota small diesel engines (D905, D1005, D1105, V1205, V1305, V1505), but they use different OEM part number families. SKU 1270 (this product) replaces 17208-60015 family — typical for B2410/B2710/B2910/B7610/B7800 compact tractors. SKU 1293 replaces 17454-60010 / 16616-60010. Match the part number on your old solenoid before ordering — they look similar but aren't interchangeable.

Can I bench-test this before installing?

Yes. Connect 12V to the pull-in (heavy) terminal momentarily — the plunger should snap inward with a sharp click. Then connect 12V to the hold (smaller) terminal and the plunger should stay in. If the solenoid doesn't pull in, the pull coil is bad. If it pulls in but won't hold, the hold coil is bad.

My B2710 won't shut off when I turn the key — is this the same part?
